American Landscape: Urban/Rural
Artspace111 presents a group show featuring the work of 24 local artists. The exhibition, entitled American Landscape: Urban/Rural, focuses on work that affirms ideas of the country's natural beauty and splendor. From the depths of Big Bend to the urban structures of Fort Worth, each artist's work is his own interpretation of our country's serene landscape.
Artists include: Betty Alcorn, Daniel Blagg, Dennis Blagg, David Conn, Carolyn Bauman Cruz, John Frost, Patrick Gabriel, Scott Gentling, Stuart Gentling, John Hartley, Cindi Holt, Etty Horowitz, Nancy Lamb, Leslie Lanzotti, Scott Lennox, Bob Lukeman, Jim Malone, Jo-Ann Mulroy, Patricia Murphy, Kim Cadmus Owens, J.C. Pace, Jo Rutledge, and Eric K. Stevens.
American Landscape: Urban/Rural will open Saturday, March 7, 2009 with an artist reception from 6 - 9 pm. Guests are invited to enjoy lite bites, beer and wine by Ben E. Keith, and water by Acqua Panna/San Pellegrino. The artist reception is free and open to the public. The exhibition will be on display through April 18, 2009.

In addition to the show at Artspace111, works from the exhibition can also be viewed at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, and Gallery 76102, the new UTA space in downtown Fort Worth throughout the month of March and April. Artspace111 is also participating in Spring Gallery Night, Saturday, March 28, 2009, 2 - 9 pm. Join us for an all day book signing by Jarid Manos, founder and CEO of Great Plains Restoration Council, and author of Ghetto Plainsman. For the evening entertainment, Paul Boll and his band Los Noviembres will be playing in the Terrace Sculpture Garden.
Artspace111 is the talked about new gallery in Fort Worth. A museum-like display space in a rustic brick warehouse by the railroad tracks, combining a world-class operation, a hip clientele, and nationally ranked artist in an open studio setting.
Artspace111 is dedicated to its vital role in the city of Fort Worth, and to making contemporary art approachable to individuals of all ages. With its sculpture garden and its distinctive architectural character, the gallery offers a striking setting to host corporate and private events, and is also available for tours and other social gatherings.
Artspace111 is located east of Downtown Fort Worth at Hampton Street and Weatherford. The gallery is open Tuesday - Friday, 10 - 5 pm, and by appointment on the weekends.
